Tango Sun Festival 2008
First International Tango Festival in Latvia
From July 31st. till August 3rd., 2008
The 1st International Argentinian Tango Festival in Latvia took place in Jurmala, the resort near Baltic sea, 20 km from Riga.
There were 30 master classes-workshops with world-famous teachers and great dancers, as Adrian Veredice & Alejandra Hobert from Argentina, the well-known teachers Ilona & Salvador Rios, Laura Priori & Andreas von Maxen from Germany and Aigars Stirna and Ginta Opmane from Latvia.
They were offered 4 milongas with musicians “Tango Duo” from Argentina and trio “Muzet Royal”, DJs from Germany and Latvia, as well as tango shows. There were around 200 dancers from more than 15 countries.
The location of the festival was the elegant “Baltic Beach Hotel”
