The 10th anniversary mega CITA took place in Buenos Aires
the week of March 15-25, 2008.
The most important features of the
10th annual Congreso Internacional de Tango Argentino:
Congreso Internacional de Tango Argentino (CITA) is world's largest and most important gathering of tango lovers, practioners, and most repesentative Argentine Tango artists.
The events took place in several locations in the center of the city of Buenos Aires within very close proximity of the Bauen Suite Hotel (Av. Corrientes 1856), which is located near the intersection of Av. Callao and Av. Corrientes.
To attend CITA classes knowledge of Spanish is not required, as most of the teachers have years experience teaching in English around the world.
- Over 250 classes for all levels and all styles to choose from, including these types: - Fundamentos-Estructura (Excellent for Beginners) - Estilo Cosmotango (Nuevo Tango) - Estilo Salón (Traditional) - Estilo Milonguero (Close Embrace) - Estilo Todaro (por Antonio Todaro) - Clases Especiales en distintos elementos del Tango (Boleos, Ganchos, Sacadas, etc.) - Adornos - Ritmo-Musicalidad - Improvisación - Milonga - Vals
- 10 days of instruction with over 25 classes to choose from every day;
- Free dance partners in every class;
- 10 Milonga Nights with the best live orchestras, local milongueros and tangueras, and special performances by the best professional dancers of Buenos Aires;
- 2 theater shows by the Master Teachers.
